Information and Communication Technology
New Information and Communication Technologies (ICTs) have evolved in recent years, especially due to the interconnection capacity of the Web to the new paradigm in the global world. In the current climate of economic crisis, this sector has experienced the greatest growth, designing, producing and marketing new products and new entrepreneurial companies.
Technological innovations have provided new communication channels and huge sources of information to the different social spheres: family, education, work, social relationships, etc., introducing new models of social conduct, attitudes, values and forms of organisation.
This technological impact is also present in the field of education, where the teacher does not simply transmit knowledge, but also provides pupils with challenges and alternative working methods, modifying the teaching methodology.
The progressive arrival of technological resources to educational centres (internet, computers, interactive whiteboards (IWB), tablets, etc.) fosters the development of life skills, so that pupils can adapt to the changes that continually take place in our 21st Century society. In a technologically advanced world it is vital to know how to adapt to change.
At present, these rapid changes mean that it is necessary to renew educational approaches (new content, training for continuous learning, flexible methodologies, etc.). In this context, the technological resources that have recently been introduced in classrooms are Interactive Whiteboards (IWB) and tablets (iVallmont Project), which represent important learning tools, without neglecting the essential role of the teacher as a mediator of knowledge.
VVallmont maintains its commitment to introducing educational innovations, thanks to the hard work and dedication of teachers, in order to continue to improve the training and education of your children, our pupils.
